We are looking for a Sound Designer!

We are hiring our first-ever Sound Designer to join our growing StoryTime App development team. If you haven't heard about our app StoryTime (you probably do), we develop safe, non-addictive Digital Activities for kids aged 3+. 

About the job

You will be making all things audio in our team. Your role will be to design sounds for the activities in our app. Our app is still new. We believe in the benefits of the app. We work hard to make sure it's safe for kids. But visual alone is not enough. We want to have great sounds that are also calming and non-addictive for kids. The sounds will also be educational and informative. As StoryTime doesn't have instructions on how to play, the visual and audio elements play an important role in the play experience. This is a one-year contract full-time position.

About You

• You love music. 

• While others took out the camera to shoot photos, you recorded interesting sounds. 

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in relevant Music studies.

• You must be someone who loves kids. Parents are encouraged to apply.

• Love to learn and improve your skills.

What will you do

• Design, find, record and edit sounds that work great with visuals.

• Mix sounds and implement them in the game engine.

• Record dialogue from voice actors.

• Experience working with Wwise or FMod is an advantage but not required. But you must be willing to learn to use one of these tools once hired.

• Create and maintain easy-to-find sound libraries.
